Bactocide:
Freshwater and marine medication against bacteria and flukes. Even
the healthiest aquarium will have a low level of potentially harmful
bacteria living in the sludge and detritus within the system. The fish
can tolerate and become immune to these organisms providing the
quality of their environment is optimal. If a fish becomes stressed,
these bacteria opportunistically invade the fish causing red wounds,
ulcers, clamped, ragged fins, missing scales, and finrot. If left
untreated these conditions will ultimately kill the fish and spread to
other occupants of the tank.
