UV Sterilisers: By forcing a thin sheet of water into close contact with a germicidal lamp, many species of algae and parasites are given a fatal sunburn and are inactivated. This elimination of pathogens and algae is safe for fish, since the action only occurs within the confines of the lamp. No light is allowed to leak from the sealed enclosure so there is no risk to fish, plants or other organisms.
